 Wow! It has been a hot few days!

So the prompt for July/August is:
'Scorching!'
Anything can be scorching; the forest, the desert, the surface of the road, the bonnet of the car, your face, even the information you hear on the news can be hot, and whatever it may be, it can burn your senses, your thoughts, your way of life.
What could be the cause of this 'scorching'? What would be the consequences of it? 
Scorching can be funny or serious... follow your imagination to some wonderful stories and illustrations you can share with the rest of us.
